Weeks before holding a round of layoffs, executives of independent brokerage giant Osaic were in Monaco, hosting about 70 of the company’s top performing advisors for a long weekend of black-tie dinners and test-driving supercars along the French Riviera — with all expenses paid.

Sources with knowledge of the situation told Citywire that Osaic held its ‘Oasis’retreatfrom March 21 to March 25 in Monte Carlo, one of the four quartiers of Monaco.

An attendee list for the event viewed by CitywireidentifiesOsaic chief executive Jamie Price, president of advice and wealth management Greg Cornick, executive vice president of advisor engagement Erinn Ford and president of RIA solutions Ed Swensonas attendees. The list also names about 70 Osaic advisors, along with their spouses, as invitees.
